Hi! It's me, Elias. I'm a Switzerland-based filmmaker and writer.
My directing career started at the age of seven, when I directed a crime thriller - using my uncle‘s camera and engaging my siblings as cast members. Until now, my fascination for moving frames and stories hasn‘t disappeared. I worked in journalism and in a film agency. 2020 I started studying Film at the Zurich University of the Arts, focusing on screenwriting. Alongside writing and directing my own films, I’m experienced in working as an assistant director or editor for peers in my film studies.
While being interested in various writing and directing styles, I’ve developed a passion for writing unique characters and misfits. In my stories, I send them on a journey, seeking for comfort in human interactions; finding out if a soulmate truly exists. During my work as a screenwriter, I developed an exceptional style of dialogue. I want to explore intermediate spaces: in between happiness and sadness, tragedy and comedy, talking and silence.
